Jody Rosenboom Racing is in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma this Friday and Saturday with the POWRi National Midget Series for the Turnpike Challenge at the I-44 Riverside Speedway. The team will be competing against some of the best Midget teams in the country, including the likes of Christopher Bell, Jason McDougal, and Tyler Courtney. The POWERi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro League will also be in action.
JRR will be fielding two cars. Jody Rosenboom, of Rock Rapids, Iowa, will be behind the wheel of the Rosey's Raceland, Simpson Race Products, Automotive Services, Spike Chassis #14X machine. This will be Rosenboom's first Midget competition since the Chili Bowl in Tulsa in January.
Randy Brands, of Boyden, Iowa, will be piloting the Automated Waste Systems, Rosey's Raceland, Boss Chassis #14R. Brands, a two-time IMCA Stock Car Super National's Champion, will be making his Midget car debut.
With practice being held on Thursday night, JRR had a chance to shake the cars down before action begins on Friday evening. Hot Laps for the Turnpike Challenge start at 5:30pm, with racing to follow. All of the racing action can be caught on MavTV.
