Josh Marcham cleaned house this weekend with a non-wing sweep at the I-44 Riverside Speedway Fallen Racers Memorial.
Maintaining his strong presence from start to finish, Marcham dominated the field each time his car rolled out onto the track.
Friday Night
Marcham opened the weekend on Friday with a first place finish in non-wing heat race number one, leaving him with enough passing points to secure his spot in the A-feature main event. Starting in the sixth position at the drop of the green flag, he quickly moved his way up to the top five of the field.
After challenging Bobby Springer and Cord Dodson for a top position, Marcham slid into the lead at lap 11 and led through the checkered flag, locking him into the pole position for Saturday night’s feature event.
Saturday Night
Marcham began the A-feature in the top spot and led the race for all 20 laps. Cord Dodson and Derrick McBride attempted to capture the lead from Marcham early on but fell back to end up fourth and second respectively.
Marcham’s driving placed him in a league of his own and he won the final night’s non-wing title by a sizeable margin.
Only three weeks in to the 2015 season, Josh Marcham has been a stand out performance in every race he’s competed in so far. He’s looking to be a prevailing force on the micro scene this year.
The next stop for Josh Marcham and his team will be Clarksville, TN on April 18.
