Back in action on Tuesday after a short two-day break, Ryan Timms invaded Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Ind.) on Tuesday for the High Limit Sprint Car Series season finale.
Drawing 38 Sprint Cars to the 5/16-mile oval, Timms lost ground in his heat race but an impressive 17th-to-8th charge in his B-Main secured his spot into the $23,023-to-win A-Main. Wheeling his way into the top-10, Ryan passed 16 more cars in the 40-lap feature to register a ninth-place finish.
Breaking out his Midget on Wednesday, Ryan rolled into the Creek County Speedway (Sapulpa, Okla.) to pilot the Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports No. 67 Midget for the Sooner State Showdown. With the 25-car field consisting of POWRi National Midgets and POWRi West Midgets entries, Timms’ stormed into the main event with a seventh-to-first heat performance. Taking control of the lead on the drop of the green flag, Ryan led flag-to-flag in the 30-lapper to claim his ninth win of the season and a $3,000 payday. He finished 1.555-seconds ahead of 12th-starting Jade Avedisian with Cannon McIntosh rounding out the podium.
For the co-sanctioned Donnie Ray Crawford Sooner State 55 on Thursday at Port City Raceway (Tulsa, Okla.), Timms raced into the main event with a third-place finish in his heat. Lined up on the front row via the invert, Ryan survived an eventful 55-lap affair to secure his second win in as many nights and his first career Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series triumph. He led all but one lap en route to the $5,555 top prize.
The action-packed week drew to a close for the team on Friday and Saturday at I-44 Riverside Speedway (Oklahoma City, Okla.) with the two-day Charlie Meents Memorial. Following a third-place finish in Friday’s preliminary, Ryan gained four spots in the Saturday night’s 30-lap finale to place fourth.
